Privacy
Last updated: November 2026
The short version: your videos, songs, projects and exports stay on your own computer. We never receive them.
Your media and projects
EditCutPublish runs entirely in your web browser. When you add clips, photos or music, they are read and processed on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Exported videos and saved project files are saved directly to your computer.
No accounts, no cookies
There is no sign-up and we don't set cookies. We don't sell or share personal data, because we don't collect it.
Anonymous usage counts
To see how the tool is used, the site counts a few anonymous events: a page visit, an export that finished, was canceled or failed (with its size, frame rate, length and file type), and saving or opening a project. With each event we store the date and time, the browser family (such as Chrome), the system (such as Windows), whether it's a phone or a computer, and the country and region the visit comes from, as estimated by our hosting provider. We don't store your IP address, cookies or any ID, so the counts can't be linked to you or to each other. None of your media is ever part of them.
Offline storage on your device
If your browser supports it, the site stores its own files (the editor's code, icons and fonts) on your device so it loads quickly and works offline. This contains none of your media. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Third-party services
- Hosting: the site is served by our hosting provider, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability.
- Fonts: fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy for details.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free service that counts page views in aggregate. It does not identify you or track you across sites.
Children
EditCutPublish is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
